Arduino Portenta H7 Ethernet shield

Hi,

I am using a Portenta H7 and I am designing a small custom carrier board to use Ethernet instead of USB for data transfer.
The idea is similar to the Portenta Vision Shield, but with only an RJ45 connector.

Looking at the schematic of the high-density connectors on the back of the Portenta, I can see that the Ethernet differential pairs are exposed there. However, I am not sure how these signals are supposed to be routed to an RJ45 connector.

Could someone explain the correct way to connect these Ethernet pairs (magnetics, center taps, etc.) when designing a custom carrier board?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Timoté

Portenta issues do not get a lot of views. Since you are designing new hardware, why not move this topic to Other Hardware >> Hardware Development or Other Hardware >> Product Design? Just roll your mouse pointer over your topic title, click the pencil, then click on the subtopics.
