As part of my mechanical engineering studies, I am doing a project to build a system for measuring the thermal expansion coefficient of metals.
The project includes a mini zvs induction coil (https://a.aliexpress.com/_onN2UZi ) 12V/120W - which heats the model, and a type K thermocouple with a MAX6675 amplifier (https://a.aliexpress.com/_oC4WhAu) to control the heating . The system should heat the model at a rate of 5 degrees Celsius per minute.
Is it possible to do the heating using the current induction coil?
Should I use Relay or MOSFET?
My knowledge in electronics is limited and I would appreciate help on the subject? How to plan the circuit?
Is there a risk of heating the components due to the 10A current? If so, how can the problem be solved?
