I want to build a cnc machine.
My arduino is working fine and it's connecting to computer but when i plug in CNC shield it disconnect. I even tried the electric tape trick because I read that sometimes cnc Shield touches the USB port.I dont know what is wrong. maybi its broken CNC shield or i am doing something wrong because I am a beginner (noob).
What else is connected to the Uno and the shield? What is the power, the USB?
Uno is connected to computer with usb cable. Shield is connected to the 12v power supply and stepper motor drivers and stepper motors, but nothing changes if i unplug any of them.
Have you managed to solve the issue? I'm facing the same problem but I've identified that the 5V and GND seems to be shorted on the shield which is causing over current draw on the USB port thus disconnecting arduino.
hi bit old but just posting in case some one have the issue ,hade the same issue due to one driver that was fautly, to diag the issue remove the drivers and see if it works as expected then do a elimination for the faulty driver.
