Arduino won't power up from VIN anymore.

I can't get the Arduino UNO to power up any other way besides the USB. If I connect 6V-12V, from my external power supply, to the VIN and GND pins, the Arduino no longer powers up. I also tried this via the barrel jack and got no power. I verified I am getting the voltage I want from the PS by testing it with my meter. Everything on the board looks good though. No burned traces or components. Is there any further testing I can do to see if its truly burned out, and if so, what is bad? I would like to repair it instead of replace it.

Nevermind, I read another post and they suggested it was the regulator. So I located it, found the datasheet and determined the output pin. While supplying 9V in the barrel jack I tested the input pin and verified I had power going to the regulator, but no power coming out of it. So I hope that is all that is broken and that I can replace it. I've attached a picture of the pinout for the regulator. I'm sorry if this has been covered already, I hope this will help someone else in the future.
