Arduino yun and SR232 shield

Hi,

new guy here, for a project I need to send data over ethernet to a server.
I need to read this data through an SR232 connector. So my question is:
'Can I use an SR232 shield with the yun?' (since the yun uses some pins for the atheros)

Yes, my apologies. I read that you can use the USB port and a converter, but I would like to do it with the RS232 shield.
