We’re updating
our privacy policy

Dear user,

We are contacting you to inform you of a change in our Privacy Policy. At Arduino our products routinely undergo independent security, confidentiality, and compliance tests, earning global standards certifications to earn your trust.

We are working constantly to make our platforms safe for our growing community of young users. We’re happy to inform you that the Arduino Science Kit Physics Lab e-learning platform is now COPPA compliant.

COPPA is a U.S. regulation which legislates the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13.

COPPA places such restrictions on website operators or online services for children under the age of 13, and on operators of other websites or online services who are aware that they obtain personal information online from children under the age of 13.

Students under the age of 13 will not be able to:

  • Create autonomously their own account. Teachers will manage their access from the dashboard, and create anonymised users on behalf of the students. Students who already signed up will be put through the new enrollment process to comply with our updated privacy settings;
  • Upload any sensitive information;
  • Access any social media links on the online platform (including YouTube).

Students under the age of 13 will only be allowed to access the blog, forum, project hub in read-only mode, and their access will be restricted from any interaction with the rest of community members.

More information on the COPPA Regulation and Arduino Privacy Policy can be found here.
