Hello, When I try to install the Attinycore library I get the following message
Error downloading https://azduino.com/bin/micronucleus-cli-2.5-azd1b-i686-mingw32.zip
I am completely new to this. I have tried a lot. I found the micronucleus on Git Hub. but where do I have to unzip the file to? (folder) . Arduino IDE 1.8.18. Windows 11.
Then there is the matter of installing a driver . Zadig? I can follow instructions but they will have to be "step by step". I hope someone will be so kind to help me. I have spent nearly 6 hours installing the library.
You follow these step to include/install ATTinyCore (for ATtiny85):
IDE ----> File ----> Preferences -----> Additionaal Boards Manager URls box and then type/enter this: http://drazzy.com/package_drazzy.com_index.json in the URLs box and then click on OK button.
IDE ---> Tool ----> Board ----- > type ATTinyCore in the input box (when reday) and install the package.
Thanks. That is what i did. I still get the msg.
It has been broken since late October due to an expired security certificate on the web site. There have been various manual workarounds. I haven't got them to work, others have had some success.
Have you typed the following text in the URLs box?
http://drazzy.com/package_drazzy.com_index.json
Yes, I did, but the error message has to do with micronucleus. Micronucleus is a small-size bootloader.
I can download the zip file but I have no idea what to do with it. Then there is the need to install a driver with Zadig. That is also a mystery for me.
To operate the following Digispark ATtiny85 Dev Board, I have installed the ATTinyCore and the required Driver without any trouble in IDE 1.18.19. The Board has been working fine.

There is a Attinycore installation bug workaround described here for version 2 of the IDE
And for those like me that use the old IDE V1 (portable) there is different writeup of the workaround
Yes, I saw both of those, neither work with the plain 1.8.19 under Windows 11. I had installed it on my Linux machine, so I just copied the package from there into the directory on Windows. So I no longer have a problem.
Does Git have mirrors (like Linux distributions)?
