Well not exactly off topic. One member tried to help you with a piece of information that was incorrect. It is a common beginner’s mistake. He was being corrected.
Do you still have this problem? If so I would suggest not using the serial pins for driving a servo because at the very least you loose the ability to use serial print for debugging.
