Avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

Hi, how can I fix this error when I try to load sketch to my Arduino nano v3.

avrdude done. Thank you.

Can you provide a bit of history for the board?

Is it new? Is it original or clone? If it was not new, what is the project that you're working on when it started failing? Is anything connected?

What is the version of the IDE?

You can try to use the normal bootloader option (328P) or the 168 option instead of the 'old bootloader' in tools → processor if you have those options in the IDE. Which options do you have?

Yes, this is new board and I only tested on the default example (Blink).
I use Arduino IDE 1.6.7.
The CH340 driver is installed. The correct port has been selected. The board was also chosen correctly. The processor is used by ATmega328P (also tested on ATmega328P Old bootloader). The board is connected to the PC via a Type-C cable for data transfer.

There is nothing else connected to the board. The PWR LED lights up constantly. Nothing else. No external damage was detected.

If that is a new board and the L LED is not blinking (1 second on, 1 second off), the manufacturer might have forgotten to load the bootloader (and blink sketch) on the board.

If you press and release the reset button on the board, do you get a couple (one or more) short flashes? That would indicate that the bottloader is installed.
