avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00

Hi

I'm still pretty to ardunio and would appreciate any help in figuring out what I'm doing wrong. I'm using a Mac running 11.2 Big Sur. when I tried and uploading my sketch I get the following error below. The day before it was working correctly. I have an Arduino Uno r3 and an Elegoo UNO r3 and the same error occurs on both board. I have made sure in Tools, that I have the correct Board and correct Port using Programmer AVRISP mkII. I've tried reinstalling the Arduino IDE twice and have tired it on a different Mac that I have and keeping getting same error.

I've tried looking around for solutions but nothing seems to quite work. Any any idea what might be going on?
