avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0xff

Hi All;
I am trying to programme an atmega328P using arduino as ISP. but I keep on getting the above error. I have used the resistor solution as other suggested and used the 10uF solution but it did not work. Please assist on what should I do?

Bootloading? Use Nick Gammon's bootload sketch:

Master uses D10 to drive Reset on slave.
