Basic simulink with arduino uno

Hi everyone

I'm trying to read digital input to simulink (matlab 2012).
I succeeded to use basic digital output - got a led to blink

but as for input - I connected digital input to a basic display in simulink, but no matter what I do - the dispaly show 0

How do I fix it?

thank you

What is running on the Arduino for simulink to communicate with?

I built this model to try and communicate

Ok, so what is running on the Arduino for simulink to communicate with?

I'm not sure I understand the question

I give digital pin8 5v on and off to check if something change in simulink
if that's what you meant

Ok. I suggest you go and ask at wherever Simulink is supported.

kinda hoped it was here

if not - any idea where?

Google suggests Documentation - MATLAB & Simulink - MathWorks United Kingdom.

thanks, but the problem is that they know arduino like this forum knows simulink

I hoped someone here knows them both

they know arduino like this forum knows simulink

Given that 'they' provide the software that runs on the Arduino to make Simulink work, I would hope that wasn't true.

You could try getting this thread moved to the 'Interfacing w/ Software on the Computer' forum. People there might know.

lol. 'they' meant the people that might answer if I ask in that support forum. not very likely to be the same people who developed the software...

thanks, I'll try also in 'Interfacing w/ Software on the Computer'
