Bigtreetech s42c

Hello, I posted a similar question two weeks ago, but this time I plan to use a BIGTREETECH S42C Board without the adapter since I've heard it should work too. I want to use it directly on a arduino uno if possible. I have worked with other Steppers and Drivers and everything worked but here I am a bit confused how to wire it. The display turns on and it knows the motors position but thats it.
I have connected VM and GND to a 12V power supply, Dir to pin 5 to the arduino but thats how far I get. Where is the step and how do I enable the motor? How do I wire that board to the arduino? From what i understood in the datasheet it is Enabled if low.

UART Communication to and from closed loop stepper

I have a BigTreeTech closed loop stepper (S42C v1.0) and it apparently allows UART communication to read and write settings. I have two questions based on the following information from the "manual": [image] and [image] The first question is - can anyone help me with a resource on how to communicate using this protocol? Some light reading would be helpful. Second Question (probably not for here): Does anyone know what pins on the S42C driver are used for communications? Thank you.

Stepper driver wont move

Hello everyone, I'm working on my first project where I have to move a stepper motor using a closed loop driver board (Bigtreetech S42C) . I put everything together and uploaded the code but it doesn't move. I think I wired something wrong. The red and black wire of the left side of the breadboard are connected to a 12V power supply. Also are the leds on the driver board supposed to bling red and blue? [IMG_7257] [unnamed]

I recommend using the Makerbase MKS SERVO42C. I believe the v1.1 firmware made some welcome changes and fixes.
