Hello everyone, completely new to this world so please forgive my ignorance about it. I do however learn very quick and I’m open minded about taking on new challenges
Long story short, I’m trying to fit a BMW NBT Evo iDrive controller (only controller) to my E70 which has a CiC iDrive controller. Plugs are same 4 pins and wires are same too so no need to re pin. Issue is newer iDrive uses k-can2 and my car only has k-can1
I have bought the can bridge from copperhill and I have just bought my first Arduino dye board in case I had to write the can bridge. I have wired up the board and tried it in my car but no joy, isn’t just simply ready to do what I need.
Is there any help you guys can provide? I am more than happy to pay for your time, assistance and guidance.
Thank you in advance.
The product page for your CAN bridge shows it plugged into an Ardino Due.
Presumably the sketch on the Due copies the data between the two buses.
Hi there and thank you for your reply
I do have an Arduino due as well, could you kindly help me writing it?
The product page has a download link for a demo sketch.
Okay thank you
Will that be to get the board to do what I need?
You will need to customize it to suit your needs.
Have a look at the demo code. If none of it makes sense, and you have no interest in writing code then ask someone to write the code for you. There's a paid consultancy section for this sort of thing.
Thank you again for your guidance.
I have posted in the paid job page (or at least I hope I did anyway lol)
