Did you perform any further investigation? I mean to check the power, clock and reset signal.
No more investigation.
I'm not looking into the cause or how to burn the bootloader or upload a sketch via another ISP device (I can do that).
I am really looking into if its possible to recover the messed up Nano - which it appears there is no way.
