BUG: serial monitor cuts off bottom line of text

The serial monitor cuts off the new line - only about 25% is displayed. This is true no matter the height of the pane. Having to wait some interval until I can read what was output is problematic when I need to respond quickly.

Hi,
Are you using the online version of the IDE.
You may need to move this post to Arduino IDE 2.0 part of the Forum.

Tom... :+1: :coffee: :australia:

Your topic has been moved to the dedicated IDE 2.0 section of the forum.

Funny you brought this up, it is biting me tonight in my work ATM (scrolling statuses).
Being the curmudgeon I am in real life (and I have the scars to prove it) I am waiting for the next point release instead of testing a nightly build.
I've seen software evolve over many decades, on more than a few evolving platforms, but I fail to understand how an obvious flaw complained about by so many was left to be put in a point release, and no new incremental release made to stop people pointing-and-laughing.
I've climbed up on my hill, and I am prepared to die waiting for a proper release to be done to fix this.

That said, 2.0.0 is great in so many other ways, I am enjoying the pseudo-intellisense and the project-wide search system. This is really a giant step above the IDE 1.x.x. Let's just get this done, folks.
