Burning bootloader onto Ender 3 board

Hi There,

I am currently trying to burn a bootloader onto my ender 3.
I am using this icsp programmer from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/HiLetgo-USBTiny-USBtinyISP-Programmer-Bootloader/dp/B01CZVZ1XM

I have installed Avrdude and Adafruit Usbtinyisp driver.
I am trying to burn the bootloader through Marlin and i get the following error message.

Arduino: 1.8.19 (Windows 10), Board: "Sanguino, ATmega1284 or ATmega1284P (16 MHz)"

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x1fc00

     0xff != 0x1f

avrdude: verification error; content mismatch

Error while burning bootloader.
I do have Usbtinyisp selected under programmer so believe it should work lol.
Not sure where to go from here.
Thanks in Advance for the help

bootloader and Marlin are two different things. if yo don't want to use integrated USB port for uploads so bootloader is unnecessary. Upload Marlin FW via ISCP. check fuses. but to do this you need to test your programmer and board

Hi Kolaha, yep sorry maybe my bad. Im just using marlin to burn the bootloader onto the board for now so that i can update via the usb on the printer later on. When i hit burn bootloader the error message above shows. There is a green light on the icsp that turns red when i try burn the bootloader. not sure if this is just showing a response to the command. How would one go about testing the board and the programmer as you mentioned above?

normally a 3d printer board is ready to use. are you sure USB is not working?

I have a v4.2.2 ender 3 pro motherboard board, how can i burn a bootloader on that? Through ISCP...i cant, or i dont know how, you have 4 pins, where should i connect them on my arduino that has 6 ..?
