I am currently doing my final year project and i need your advice on creating an iphone app using arduino connecting to ormon PLC Cpm2A. I learnt that i cant connect it directly and i need a 'third' party. So my question is, can the model with wifi connect to the plc as it is speaking different languages. And how should i connect them? Please help.
These are industrial devices that have origins in basic electrical wiring for home or commerical use, though usually commercial. They don't have OSs and you write "programs" in something called Ladder Logix. I used an Allen Bradley PLC last year to create a garage space parking navigational aid for my mother:
Based on my experience with them, I would be surprised if you could connect an Arduino to a PLC, though I suppose with enough fiddling and wrangling anything is possible. Question I have though is why you would want to do it, but I digress.
i guess you can. Use max232 to convert the current since arduino and plc use diffrent voltage. And i suggent you to use RS 232. I still don't have any clue how to use the max 232.

Thanks in advance.
What does the App do? explain it in detail and someone here but be able to help. I googled the PLC and it was discontinued in 2015 so support from Omron may be limited.

As already pointed out, the post was discontinued 2 years before your quoted expiry date.
