Can i increase 5w to 20W

I have a problem. Is that I'm planning to increase 5W power to 20W. I'm planning to using 3v 500mA motor and the output side i want to wind a small generator using <.5mm size coper wire. So that i can get good amount of ampere for crate 20w. And i need strong magnet to create good magnetic field to make a current. Then combine that 2 pieces together using gears. And then I'm planning to rotate my system using small battry (2xAAA =2x1.5v=3V)

  • my question is my imagination is going work or not?
  • If it work but my imagination wrong, please correct my wrong parts too.

Thanks!

Wont' work.

You cannot put 5 watts into a machine and get 20 watts out. You won't even be able to 5 watts out due to losses from friction and heating etc.

Anyone who tells you different is tricking you.

You'll be lucky to make a generator that's anything like efficient without a good machine shop, and suitable
lamination stack - electric machines are best bought in. You might be able to source a motor thats 90%
efficient, a generator that's 90% efficient, and thus get about 4W out for your 5W in, but that will require
quality components and careful design and matching.

Useful power only decreases, its a fact of the universe.
