Can see Arduino on COM3 in Device manager but COM3 Not available under port menu

Question as stated in the subject.

I am using my arduino for an application with Labview interface for Arduino, its been working perfectly until earlier, now LABVIEW can't connect to the arduino, and i also can't see the serial port of the arduino when I go to upload a sketch.

The drivers are all installed, I can see Arduino on COM3 but cannot select Com3 in the Arduino program.

Please instruct me what to try next? I am in a very time critical stage here, its so irritating as everything was working perfectly earlier.

I have also tried restarting the PC, using different USB ports, and uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers

im having the same problem let me know when you figure it out. i had it once but don't remember how/what i did.
