Can we Connect sensors to Arduino Board wirelessly?

I am thinking of a Health monitoring System as my final year project.
And I know how the sensors will send data to Arduino in a wired connection.
But I don't want all that wires around the person being monitored.
So need a solution for connecting sensors wirelessly to Arduino so I can make it smart and appealing.
Sensors will be for temperature, heart rate, oxygen level respectively.

If the sensors are wireless, then an appropriate receiver could collect the data and send it to any Arduino, computer or smart phone.

Arduino sensors are usually intended to be connected directly to the Arduino, which could use a radio to transmit data elsewhere.

Well that sounds amazing, because I don't have that much knowledge about all those hardwares.
If a wireless sensor can send data to a recieve which can send that data to cloud database.
Then I don't need Arduino any longer.
I would really appreciate if you put some more light on this particular problem.
Name any wireless sensor and it's compatible reciever.

It is your project. I recommend that you do your own research. Your instructors will appreciate your effort.
