Hello,
I am trying to work on a project where my Arduino Uno detects how loud my surroundings are using a microphone, and then change the lighting effects on an attached LED strip at different volume levels. I have tried connecting multiple different microphones, but they all are unable to detect sound. I've tried to use:
-2 different HW484 microphone boards with different-sized microphones (the lights do not turn on on both microphone boards when hooked up correctly)
-Piezos of different sizes connected between ground and Analog Pin 0 (they either print zeros or sine waves)
XF-18D microphone connected to this circuit: Getting going with an electret microphone and an Arduino | Electron Pi
(Only printed zeros)
What should I try now to get the Arduino to detect sound levels? Should I try a different Arduino?
