Cannot get RXB12 to receive

This has been discussed before but the threads are closed. The previous threads do not quite answer my query
I have green cheap FS1000A RF transmitter and green receiver (WL101-341/331) working fine but with poor range.
I read that that the yellow RXB12 receiver has much better range and can be used with any transmitter. The wiring and code are meant to be the same.
However as soon as I swap the green receiver for the yellow RXB12, the communication stops. I thought the RXB12 was faulty so got another but that also does not receive
I thought that any transmitter should work, but is there another that will actually work with the RXB12???
Thanks

Did you attach antennas? Are you sure they use the same RF frequencies? Some are 433MHz and some are 315MHz.

The forum guidelines strongly recommend presenting more than verbal descriptions and things that require the forum helpers to do cut and paste Google research. Please add the appropriate information about your modules, and how you are using them.

Please read

and adopt posting methods that the people who can help you will find useful.

I have transmitter from an Uno and receiver on a Nano. I am transmitting weather data from BME280
I have soldered antennae to both transmitter and receiver
THe FS1000A transmitter data sheet confirms it transmits 433MHz
The RZB-12 Receiver datasheet states 433Hz and also 315MHz. There is no guide to indicate that 433MHz has to be selected. If one does needs to select the frequency, how is that done?

Please provide full images and specifications of the actual modules that you have, there are many different variations on the market.

Very, very much is missing from your original post and also your reply. For example, a wiring diagram.

In this case, it would also be useful to pass on any information such as vendor page, where you bought the devices.

You can not change the RF frequency of most of those modules. You have to purchase the right one.

In the case of hardware that doesn't work, details matter. So please comply with the forum guide that I linked to.

You buy one or the other.
The 315Mhz one 4.897 written on the crystal, the 433Mhz has a 6.7458 crystal.
Leo..

Thanks. That confirms that I have 433Mhz with 6.7458 crystal

Again, details matter. If you describe your problem in drips and drops, that is also how the answers appear.
