The difficult way.
- Open Windows devive manager, right click on the device (it probably has a yellow triangle), select properties from the context menu and note down the VID and the PID.

For my clone Nano in above
VID = 1A86, PID = 7523.
-
Next look up those numbers on the web; e.g. USB\VID_1A86&PID_7523 - CH340 serial converter | Device Hunt which will tell you that it is a CH340.
-
Now you know the manufacturer (QinHeng Electronics) and you can visit their website and search for the driver: CH341SER.ZIP - NanjingQinhengMicroelectronics
-
Download it and install it.
The easy way that will probably work as most clones use the CH340 chip: do step (4) above, download it from CH341SER.ZIP - NanjingQinhengMicroelectronics and install it
