Cant change port!

So i just bought a new laptop for college but up til' now i was always using computers in college. im trying to upload a sketch to the board and it says

Arduino: 1.6.6 (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

Sketch uses 3,448 bytes (10%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes. Global variables use 240 bytes (11%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1,808 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes. avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\.\COM1": The system cannot find the file specified.

Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions. Board at COM1 is not available Board at COM1 is not available

This report would have more information with "Show verbose output during compilation" enabled in File > Preferences.

Have you looked in 'Device Manager' to see which port the Arduino is actually using? Then set that port number in the IDE.

Have you try to restart a pc? In some cases this procedure fix the problem. Good evening! www.gambedus.altervista.org
