I can not find the USB port in the serial ports menu..
Ive installed the drivers several times and unplugged, restarted, changed cable and wathever.
I am running OSX Leopard and using an Arduino Duemilanove ATmega 168.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks.
EDIT: I now found the one port that my Arduino was plugged into, but then after trying to upload, and it failed, it dissapeard again, and there is only "Bluetooth Modem" and "Bluetooth-PDA-sync" in the menu...
I see that I might have posted in the wrong forum, so i copy the post over to "Software". Admin may delete this post.
I have the same error with openSuse 11.1 When I view the ports link I only see /dev/ttyS0 and S1. No USB ports. I wish I could help you. If I find a solution I will contact you
Thanks!
Now, finally my USB ports decided to show up again after leaving my mac alone (still powered on) for a while. But after uploading one script to it and unplugging it, i couldnt find my ports again the second time... :-/
Its really bothering me. Once I get going and want to move on to another project, nothing is working! >:(
Now after disappearing again, it came back. But only to cause a kernel panic on my macbook pro when trying to upload a script to my arduino.
I guess something is buggy here..?
