Can't update Esp Boards

Hi, I am using Arduino IDE on a mac computer and I am unable to update ESP Boards as it is a long download and it timeouts about 3/4 of the way through, I have searched on google how to increase the timeout however all the information seem s to be for pc computers and not mac, I have tried searching for a .yaml file but nothing found, if anyone could point me to a guide for Mac I would appreciate it.. Thanks

Who else uses your Mac? I mean at the same time you are using it?

No-one? Then it's a Personal Computer. A PC.

I think what you meant was "and not a Windows computer".

Yes, I know many people use "PC" to mean a Windows machine. They are all confused and should be educated about this. Pass it on!

(Don't get me started about the confusion between WiFi and the Internet....)

Do you know you do NOT need to provide a url in the additional boards? ESP is now included in the IDE itself just like AVR.
