Hello guys,
i am not completly new to arduino, but i would still call myself a total beginner.
I have build a couple of cnc machines, so i have a little bit experience with this kind of things if i can say so.
I am currently working on my car project (89 Mercedes W201 with standalone ecu, V8, it has no Air conditioning) and in about 14-21 days the mechanical part will be done and i can start to work on the wiring process. I planned to build a complete new harness and even a new dashboard with a hvac box where the flaps are controlled by actuators or stepper motors and limit switches. Now i thought, even if i dont like touch screens, i wouldnt need to buy a lot of buttons and build specific places for the buttons if just use a touch screen and control the relays, etc. with the display.
So, my question is, what board would you choose if you want the system with the touch screen to boot up as quick as possible, so you dont have to wait e.g. 30 seconds to be able to control e.g. the Air conditioner.
If you have good ideas, e.g. board/touch screen combination, the please let me know it.
I usually dont like to ask this kind of things to other people, but honestly, i have max. 3 month from now to finish the car and i still have sooo much to do that i would be extremly happy if someone would give me some tipps so that i can save time to read through forums.

What HVAC box you are talking about?
The touch will be only used to control the ventilation/air conditioning?
This sounds all a bit like a promissing application for a darwin award.
Any modern card boots in milliseconds or better. You need to make a list of requirements so we can tell if any board is disqualified or qualified.
