Hi
i Bought this 10Mpa sensor from here. I googled and find this topic is a very similar output to my sensor. in that topic they said this Wheatstone sensors need instrumentation amplifier. I used HX711 as an instrumentation amplifier which is cheap and easy to find. I hooked up my sensor like attachment image.
so now the problem is I can't figure out how to calibrate this sensor. I used three different libraries and this code as well but when I press the sensor hard it doesn't change output at all.
externally i supplied the sensor with 5v and with DMM the voltage between white and yellow is 1.615V
white to GND 2.988V and yellow to GND 1.372V
with 10V all of the voltages get multiplied by 2ish.the voltage between white and yellow got 3.164V
I share this measurement if it helps to solve my problem.
Thanks
How did you apply the pressure? Blow into the sensor hole?
Do you know how much pressure is 10MPa?
For calibration you determine the zero voltage (offset) and the voltage at an arbitrary (known) pressure. Then subtract the offset from the measured value and scale it by the calibration difference.
Next time you better buy a sensor accompanied by a data sheet and Arduino library and sample code.
I think you have confused a pressure sensor with a load cell. There's in point pressing the sensor, you're just pressing the casing. This thing measures air/gas/liquid pressure.
