Change error color in console

Hi,

is there a way to change the error color in the console (other than patching the source code)? As a color blind person I cannot read the error messages.
The tricks that worked for older versions (updating preferences.txt) does not seems to work anymore, at least I cannot find the required option.

Locate file IDE/lib/theme/theme.txt and change RGB value of console.error.color

unfortunately there is no theme.txt on my mac (OS X Yosemite). Any help for an OS X user?

Solved: right click the Arduino.app in "Applications", select "Show Package Contents" and you will find all files needed.
