Channel switching guitar amp and more

Hi all! This is my first post here, so I hope I do this in line with the rules here.

I build my first guitar amp around 10 years ago and I build probably a dozen more since then. Most of the single channel, but my last preamp is channel switching. However, that one is just two channels, so switching is easy.

I have been developing more elaborate designs over the years, but till date lack the skills to make switching arrangements the way I want it.

Why can't I get the way I want it? What I want is rather complicated (at least to me)!

  1. Switching 3 discrete channels with momentary switches. Channel 1 button push means turning it on and the others off;
  2. Switching via push buttons on the (pre)amp but also on a foot switch. Both should work simultaneously and communicate with each other. I want to do that with a 2 prong standard chord, just like the ones used for guitar signals. This is doable and is done by Marshall in their JVM's;
  3. Preferably the amp should accept incoming Midi signals so it can work with a midi looper;
  4. The amp should be mutable, maybe muting should be done during switching, like many Engl's do.

That's it, grosso modo. attached are two schematics. One (from jan 2016. It's been a while!) shows the switching. Two Atmega328's communicating with each other via just 2 wires of which one is ground. The other shows the actual amp. It's a cross over between a Soldano X88R, SLO100 and Two Rock John Mayer signature. But it could be anything really, no reason why you could not redesign parts of the amp itself.

Will add the code I already have soon. With the risk of sounding pathetic as can be: please help haha... I definitely need help with this.

Cheers,

Rootz.
