Checking 26 VAC is present

I'm trying to find the best solution for determining if 26 AC voltage is present on line. This signal will be coming from a old jukebox controller (called a wall box). This will come from very dirty source (long line with mech contacts from rotor)- So optoisolator should be in order. Not an EE (sw developer) so fewer parts better.

Don't need to record analog AC just need to know if signal is there or not. Don't need latch will do it all from sw.

Thanks All

A couple of 14V lamps in series, coupled/shining on a photocell (LDR).
The lamps won't last "forever", but, depending, they could be fairly long lived.

Sounds familiar. Must be a device similar to this ? http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,79386.0.html
(I remembered after posting.)

Yeah, Thanks for the info and reference. It's the same wall box.

Seems like the way to go.
