I am working on a CNC Laser mini engraver as seen in this tutorial. Everything works with the axes and steppers, but my laser (The same 250mw laser he has) is putting out crap for power. Just a tiny red dot that never turns on or off. I'll include a circuit diagram and a video of the problem.

Make a sketch that toggles pin 11 each second. Get your voltmeter and check where the signal ends on the FET. Check the legs on the solder side AND on the part.
alternative to flashing the sketch: pull out the arduino and aply +5 and GND to D11, rest as above.
I had extra parts. I went ahead and completely redid the project, only reusing the drivers, arduino nano, laser, and jst connector. Laser got just slightly more power, but still didn't burn.
You'll need to get your multimeter and take readings.
I dont have alligator clips for my multimeter, only the probes. any way to do take readings without alligators?
