Hello.
I just got a new computer(windows 11), and after installing the Arduino IDE, have found that it seems to be missing the command palette. The ctrl + shift + p shortcut does not work, and when opening the keyboard shortcuts and searching "command" and/or "palette", it does not appear. Anyone know how to fix this?
On my keyboard the left hand ctrl + shift + P does not work - a peculiarity on this particular keyboard. I need to use the right hand ctrl and shift.
Try F1 - it does work on my Windows 10 PC and is easier.
Well, that's annoying, but it does work when I use right shift. Thanks.
Hi @omnia_et_nihil and @Willem43. It is unexpected as I always use the left Ctrl key with this shortcut (I don't like F1 because that is traditionally used to open the application's help system) and never had a problem. I'm wondering if it might be related to keyboard layout. Which keyboard layout are you using? I'm using US QWERTY.
@ptillisch I am also using US qwerty. The issue is not with the left control, but the left shift.

I am using a Redragon K509rgb keyboard I inherited from my son when he upgraded. After the above post from @omnia_et_nihil I checked and found any combination of ctrl and shift from both sides works except the ctrl + shift + P together from the left. Other left ctrl + shift + somekey combinations seem to also work just fine. Maybe that combination was reserved for some keyboard function? Other than that it is a quite nice keyboard.
On the F1 issue, yes, it was, and still seems to be, used as a help key. Recently it often seems to go to some elaborate online manual which makes it even more difficult to find what you are trying to research. However, since it opens the advanced settings panel in the IDE I am all for using it as such. It certainly beats the, sometimes obscure and cryptic, multi key combinations which, at my age, is a welcome simplification to remember.
