I have install the talkie library from GitHub - going-digital/Talkie: Speech library for Arduino

i got the error message after instaling the library

what is the problem? :frowning:

The problem is the Talkie library is written for an outdated compiler.

You can find instructions to fix this error here:

People have tried to get this fixed but unfortunately the original author of the Talkie library seems to have abandoned the project. You can find forks of the library that have a lot of further development (including fixing this bug) on them:

ok

Here is a version of getting started.ino that I got working after 3 days of frustration

you will need the fixed version of Talkie.h - change WProgram.h with Arduino.h etc.

i have attached whAT I THINK are fixed versions of the h and cpp files

hope it save people time

There is a version of the Talkie library which may become somewhat the new "official" version since it is going to be added to the Library Manager. It should be working right out of the box (or if not, please submit a bug report):

That is a fork of the PaulStoffregen version so it should have all the same improvements from that version.
