Good morning all,
I bought 4 Arduino MEGA 2560 R3 devices for a Christmas project and I took the out of the box today to get started, For three of the devices, I connected them to the computer, they were recognized by the computer, and I was able to program them with the blink program. The fourth device, however, when connected to the computer gives me a "Device not recognized" error. In the device manager it says Device Descriptor Request Failed. I am running Windows 10. Can anyone help me get this MEGA up and running or is it a lost cause?
Original or clone? What is the USB-to-TTL chip on the boards?
That information might help others to help you; I'm probably the wrong person to assist further.
PS
I simply would ask the supplier for a replacement.
The usual advice :-
Try different USB cables.
Try different USB ports.
Try another computer if available.
Ensure NOTHING is connected to the board other than the USB.
