Concurrency with occam-pi and Uno (servo problems).

Hello all,
I recently tried http://concurrency.cc/download and found it to be an interesting alternative language (and it works great on my Uno!)
I fully expected to have to reload the Arduino bootloader after letting occam-pi "have its way" with my Uno, but the Arduino side still lives and
now I have occam-pi for concurrency available too (and I also like jEdit.) Nice!

Problem is I can't make my servo work with the examples given. The servo works just fine with Arduino code. The other examples I
have tried in occam-pi seem to work well.

Occam-pi possibly looks good for robot programming, if I can get my servo problem worked out!

I am also going to mention a favorite language called Scratch, and S4A (Scratch for Arduino.) Scratches flowchart-like programming is VERY easy (for old farts trained in BASIC with plenty of "gotos" and kids learning programming) 8) and it multitasks without even asking it to! "Scratch Day" is the 21st and hopefully version 2 will come out then with all sorts of new "goodies".

I used to earn a living programming in occam - what does the servo example look like?

I once took a photo of some transputers for the cover of ST World Magazine:

That was one of the highest selling issues, for some reason.

I think I can see...one.

Hi WillBuilder,

I recommend you join the mailing list (users@concurrency.cc).

http://www.concurrency.cc/docs/mailinglists

The entire team is subscribed to that list, and we'd be glad to help you figure out what is up with your servo code. The list is exactly the right place for the kinds of questions you have.

I'm glad you were able to get things up and running, and the team would be happy to help keep you moving along productively.

Cheers,
Matt
