Connecting brushless motor to a servo sheild

Hey guys,
I was thinking if i could connect a brushless motor ESC signal, gnd, vcc pin connector to a servo connection of a servo sheild.

This is the sheild i am using

Since the vcc and gnd pin of esc supply power unlike a servo i was wondering if i could still connect the connection directly as it would reduce complexity in wiring.

Thanks.

Hi,
Have you googled arduino esc controller

I don't think you have.... this should answer all your questions.

Tom...

I have made a few projects with the brushless motor, I just wasn't sure if it was okay if i could connect it to the servo connection as a servo is powered by thse pins whereas the esc gives 5v output power for arduino.

Like the exact questions is "can i connect the esc connector to the servo pinout of this arduino sheild"

Thanks.

Of course you can connect any 5V signal to any 5V tolerant input. This does not mean that such a connection is meaningful or helpful at all.

Ok i asked just so that it wil make my connections a lot easier.

Thanks.
