Hey everyone! I am relatively new to this forum. However, I have a Bluetooth Audio question. Here is what I am trying to do:
- Play pre-prepared audio files from an arduino to a bluetooth speaker.
- Select which song to play from a screen connected to the arduino buttons.
I'm good on figuring out how to work with the screen. However, getting the arduino connected to the speaker seems to be my main issue. I have seen a lot of information going around about using bluetooth modules to do this. Would something like this on amazon work?
The reason I ask this, is the operator would not in a position to use a cellphone to select the songs. A standalone solution would be best.
I got the bluetooth Arduino Uno R4 thinking that it would work standalone, but apparently it does not. It only supports low power bluetooth which is not what I want.
Any guidence would be helpful!! Thanks so much!
From what is given in your link I think maybe. There is no technical information to work with.
This is a big no! you want to use an audio amplifier for the speakers, connecting a speaker to an arduino can make a crispy critter out of the Arduino.
By "connected" I mean connected via bluetooth, not directly through wires.
A link to technical information on the parts is needed, I do not have any of them therefore I need to check data sheets. Your Azon does not give much. What are the songs stored on? How much energy is available? What wattage output do you want?
Draw a simple schematic showing what you are proposing.
You'll have to get a BT audio transmitter (inexpensive) and then pair that with the BT speaker.
You could use a DFPlayer as the audio source and use the Arduino to run that, conceivably with some IR remote scheme.
All very 'high level' this.
There are BT audio transmitters with built-in microSD.
