G'Day all I am having a bit of a problem trying to sourcing a CR3032 Battery holder for a PCB. What I am finding is never ending supply for the 20 series battery holders, Now that brings me to the if and if not of the matter.
I need to be able to power 5 - 3mm 3v flashing LEDS of diffrence colours and was thinking that the CR3032 would be just fine for this project Can anyone give me their throughs on what else I could use that would work just fine for this. There is no Microcontroller at all for this project do you see any other road block That I may face, It all need to sit flat as it is for a lanyard to hang for peoples necks. I hope I have given you all enough info to point me in the right direction with this Not easy as an OLD FART thats brain cell are dropping at a quick rate But playing around with this stuff I hope will help slow that rate down with having an active brain. If you have access to a 3D printer, there are lots of models for the 2032 that may do the trick if you can scale by an extra approx 1/3 in the thickness direction.
Not sure yet as to the colors that will be used on it that was just a mockup to show what I am working with But I will check it out and see as don't want to solder everything in place only to come up against just what You have brought up.
Ahh you are correct with your thinking the specs comes up saying 3.5v so blue is out best I check all the colors this maybe harder then I through it would be.
every other color Red, Green, Yellow and Orange are all good just the blue color so I guess I drop the Blue LED from it
Love it well done that is something to think about for my own use but this will be given to a few people I know and well as much as I like it I'm not 100% sure they will be happy to see it lol

Where are they based please as I am in Thailand so postage will be the killer even on such a small piece But I will look into them AliExpress doesn't seem to have them which was a suprise to me.

Rapid and Digikey are both based in the United States. I also found them at TME in Europe if it helps to reduce shipping costs.
I also could not find PCB mounted holder on AliExpress or Bangood, but AliExpress do have these on a wire. They would be less convenient as they would require the wires to be soldered directly or some other way to connect them to the PCB. They would also need to be securely mounted somehow.

Have you looked at other small cells like 1/2 AA Lithium at 3.6-V?
Have you confirmed by specifications, analysis and tests that the coin cell will deliver adequate current for the time it needs to?
Lipo cells 3.7 volt nominal, useful from 4.2 (fully charged) to 3.4 volts (stop, be nice to your cells) deliver prodigious current, are inexpensive, rechargeable, come in a bewildering variety of cell configurations (3.7 volt, 7.4 volt, 11.1 volt nominal &c.) and package dimensions.
Some searching may turn up something acceptable.
What current/voltage do you think is necessary? How thick could this card be and still be acceptable?
And what is it to do? I like doing without a microprocessor when I can, or even discrete components like transistors or '555s or other ICs, so I am curious about what you are up to..

When I can't get an LED to flash or figure out an Excel function like REGEXEXTRACT, I'll know the game is up.

To help you with understanding the problem, blue LED are made of TWO uv LEDS in series. The two uv emissions cause phosphorescent coating to emit light we see as blue.
Yeah I did see them but really want the plastic housing type so ne chance of the Battery slipping out and is help in place, But another member posted some links to the Item I am chasing went to place an order and it said 137 pounds and with the exchange rate Ummm no not going to happen. So what I am thinking of now would maybe go with rechargeable Battery still thinking about that as have never played with rechargeable Battery's so not sure what I would need I am thinking that I would need some kind of charge controller ???. As I said this is above my brain level at the moment.
I would like to take the time to Thank you for your input to this everything helps as to how I end up going about this moving forwards I am so grateful for all the help that's members have and are offering me I read each response and see what It leads too, so far the best has been to the links to buy from overseas just the cost is so over the top, the link you send for AliExpress is something I need to really consider or I try and workout what is needed to use rechargeable battery but that is a big step for me to take.
