creating wifi circuit board help needed!

Hi all tech guys!

I really need major help here.
Im studying in university in sweden (stockholm) and i got a project from my teacher to build a wifi circuit board from skratch.
They are not allowing me to buy finished wifi modules...only thing they are allowing me to buy is wifi-chip and a wifi processor and some other components.

what i need is an :

-Wifi chip
-wifi processor
-drawing circuit board for a completely wifi connection !

Any one got any ideas? i will be full appreciate for all the help i can get :slight_smile:

Have you looked at block diagrams, schematics of existing modules? They mostly start from an existing chip and add support around it as needed. Can you do the same?

They don't teach you to use the Internet at this fancy Swedish school of yours?

Seriously, I think that is a nontrivial project.

I would find a WiFi chip, look at its datasheet, and see how to set up a circuit for it.
