Cursor disappear in the code field

Hi all,
I am running IDE 2.3.4 (Arduino Uno) on Win11. Very frequently the cursor disappear when working in the code area (field). But the cursor is well visible in other areas, for example in 'Serial Monitor' field. A bit strange.....
Have anyone out there observed this issue? Maybe I need to do change any setting? Is it a bug?

Thanks in advance to all help for getting around this problem!

Best regards
Carl G

I got the same problem.

I got the same problem, i get back to ide 1.8.19 and the cursor works fine

Ive just upgraded to 2.3.7 and have the same issue. win11.

Its fine by the tool bar, but disappears into the code area; if I go back to Ver 1.8, it has now disappeared from that too.
I can see it by changing its colour

This is probably your O.S.' responsibility. In Windows 11...
WINDOWS >> type "CURSOR"... and you will be directed to "SETTINGS >> ACCESSIBILITY >> TEXT CURSOR" there you will see "Text cursor thickness"

I also set up my "CTRL" key to "ping" my pointer location because I have my pointer turn-off while typing. That can be found in "SETTINGS >> ACCESSIBILITY >> Mouse pointer and touch >> Mouse Indicator"

Thx , that’s useful - I can’t get it back to how it was but I can now at least see it .
It happened directly after the update affected other apps too
.

I did find this , but haven’t tried it ( yet)
