DAC directly into analog input?

Is it safe to connect the DAC (A0) directly to an analog input (A1/A2) ?
I know the DAC can output up to 3.3v and the chip's max input is the same, so is it safe connecting a wire directly into the analog ?

Also, from the noise aspect- will it be better to connect a resistor instead of a wire ?

I have done this on the Due. I don't see the need for a resistor.
