Hello everyone, Does Ultrasonic HC-SR04 work with 4.8v 700MAH rechargeable battery. If not, How can I make it work with 4.8v battery.
Does your documentation tell you that it will not?
Can you post a link to a data sheet for the HC-SR304, I can't seem to find one.
Sorry, I meant it to be HC-SR04. Here is a datasheet:datasheet
(am not sure if its correct)
What do you mean?
I mean what does your documentation on the device say about the range of voltages the device will operate at!
HC-SR04 needs 5 volts to generate ultrasonics. it will trigger off 3.3, but the return echo will be 5V. 4.8 is 96 percent of 5V, I can't imagine it's that fussy.
if you want a 3-5V equivalent; RCWL 1601.
My experience is that the HCSR04s will work at 4.8V, but they work noticeably better at 5V. That is fewer inaccurate readings due, I think, to the echo being stronger.
Oh ok thanks. Do you know how much is the difference?
Okay! Thank you very much.
@Geek_Emeritus @groundFungus What is the maximum volts an ultrasonic can handle??
The actual module takes the 5V and converts it, inefficiently, to +12/-12 volts to drive the transducer. But 5V is good.
Unless you can find a data sheet for the HCSR04 that tells you that information you will need to find a schematic and find the supply voltage limits for each component.
So if i used 5+ volts it will still work?
Can you tell me. I only find the minimum range.
I don,t have time to do your research for you. Google "HCSR04 schematic" and look at the components. Search for datasheets for the components. Look for their supply voltage specifications in the datasheets.
What is the problem? What voltage do you need to power the HCSR04 with?
