I am testing this design to move two DC motors. I think I am missing some clamping diodes.

Some explanation would help this thread to make some sense. For instance where are the motors?

The motors are going to be connected to pin 3.

Gates:
The motors are going to be connected to pin 3.

Wrong. Arduino pins can't drive motors.
