Driving mosfet with Arduino UNO

I use IRFP460 but when i opened it manually with 5V it worked so it drawed abt 200mA

You don't understand what I mean. What Voltage and Ampere is required to drive the tesla coil? Focus on the goal instead of details at the start, unless you want to derail early on.

Well, draw a diagram of how you have connected everything up.

Please post so pictures of your project and how you have everything connected.

Do you not have enough voltage potential to control the gate

Read Post #3 about logic level MOSFETS.

Can you please tell us your electronics, programming, arduino, hardware experience?

Thanks.. Tom.... :+1: :coffee: :australia:

I am new to arduino but this is not the problem.I will draw the schematic tonight and i ll post it.

I'll try making a mosfet amplifier to boost the arduino signal when i get the mosfet

Still need help with your project?

Tomorrow I will get the components and I will announce you, thanks!

I thought you already had an IRFP460.
Try this simple circuit and see if you can make the LED turn ON/OFF

Yes,I have the IRFP460 but I need some other mosfets that can amplify my arduino signal so I can control the IRFP460's gate.

See post #29
See if you can make the LED work with the IRFP460.

Yeah...so I changed from sstc to a basic tesla coil but i want to make it play music.Do you have any schematic for how I can make it?I have irf640,irfz44 as mosfets and bd243,Tip41,SC5200 as transistors.

Problem is the needed high drain breakdown voltage.
200 volt for the IRF640, but only 60 volt for the IRFZ44.
Leo..

I can't use two irf640 one for driving the coil and one for audio?

Are you trying to make a plasma speaker?
Leo..

Yes.

No Arduino needed.
Leo..

Thank you so much!:folded_hands:

You also have a schematic to a musical tesla coil?

Hi, @s4rd3l
Have you done any decent research?????

Google is your friend;

schematic singing tesla coil
