I am getting this error when uploading files for arduino, I tried to download the Ch340 driver online but it only shows "the drive is successfully pre-installed in advance" but not "driver is installed successfully " like on the internet , I have also tried to change the connection wire, but it doesn't work, please help me

Hi @quantran252. Please try this experiment and then report back with the results:

:exclamation: This procedure is not intended to solve the problem. The purpose is to gather more information.

  1. Connect the Arduino board to your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Press and release the button on the Arduino board that is marked "RESET".

Now please reply here on the forum thread with the answer to the following question:

  • Did you see the "L" LED blink multiple times quickly immediately after you released the "RESET" button?

yes, I see

This error could be caused by having the wrong board selected in Arduino IDE. Which Arduino board are you using? I see you have "Arduino Uno" selected in the IDE. You should note that there are several boards with similar names:

The board you have selected will only work if you are using the first one. A different Arduino IDE configuration is required if you are using any other board.

this is my board

and this is my arduino IDE

OK, the board selection is correct.

You should be aware that the bad board you have is a counterfeit. If you purchased it from a reputable online marketplace (e.g., eBay, Amazon), you should report the seller. You may be able to get a refund.

There is only one other possible cause of the error that I know of: interference by external circuitry (shields, modules, wiring, etc.) connected to your board. But I see that there is no external circuitry in the picture you shared.

So if you get the error even when no external circuitry is connected, my conclusion is that the problem is probably caused by the Arduino board having suffered permanent physical damage. I recommend you carefully review what you were doing with the board the last time it was in a working state. You may be able to identify the cause of the damage and in this way profit from the mishap by gaining knowledge that will allow you to avoid subjecting boards to the same conditions in the future.

Unless you have the right tools on hand and the skills to use those tools, repair of the board will not be feasible. I suggest you attach a note to the damaged board describing what is wrong with it and put it in your electronics salvage bin. Then purchase a replacement board.

You can support the work Arduino does to provide free open source software, documentation, and hardware designs to the community by purchasing official hardware. It is available from these sources:

I can see from the picture that your board doesn't use a CH340 USB chip, so the driver couldn't have helped you anyway.

At first I bought it, it still works very well, but after I directly used the 5v source to connect to 1 Motor because there were a lot of announcements from the computer (probably from the USB port) and then I Unable to upload file. Thank you very much, I will try to buy a new board
