Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the bootloader of my nano. So I want burn the bootloader on this with the help of my second arduino nano.
When I have tried to burn the bootloader the IDE says to me :
avrdude: Yikes! Invalid device signature.
Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
this check.
I have tried to change this line:
atmega328.upload.protocol=stk500
on this:
atmega328.upload.protocol=arduino
but that doesn't resolve the problem...
I need your help !

NB I have yet connect a 120 Ohm resistor on the 5V pin and Reset pin

Check what the actual chip on your Nano is, and check in boards.txt to see you have a setting that's right for it?

Does avrdude say what the signature it actually read is? An 328P should have signature bytes 1E,95,0F. The situation is confusing because when you program a bootloader (using Arduino as ISP?) the Arduino software has to be set to the correct hardware, but when using the bootloader to upload code the signature bytes have to match the one's compiled into the bootloader (I've had trouble with the 168 and 168p before - don't this is your issue though).
The chip should be reporting signature 1E,95,0F, and the avrdude should have target set to atmega328p (and thus expecting 1E,95,0F). More output from avrdude should confirm. Might just be dodgy connections between the Arduino as ISP and the target Arduino.
You have programmed the first Arduino with ArduinoISP?

No, it's my first tried to burn a bootloader on an Nano. But yes i am using a Arduino (my other Nano) as ISP.
So why this problem ? =/

preferences.txt - depends which OS where it lives, ~/.arduino/preferences.txt on Linux... Try searching for the filename, that's how things get found...
