good day to all in this forum.
I do need a clarification on the wifi reconnect : I found the the esp8266 automatically reconnect if my modem/router shuts down or if the signal is lost because of the distance. I do not understan why there are a lot topics on the web proposing particular sequence in order to reconnect ( eg.: esp restart... and other procedures). What is the correct procedut to reconnect please ?

If the automatic reconnect feature works for you, use that one. The WiFi world is quite inhomogeneous so are the problems that might occur.
