ethernet shield ws5100 not connecting

when i try to print my ip address it shows 2.0.2.0 in serial monitor(the code i have taken from examples in arduino ide...i changed ip,gateway and subnet mask according to my network)

solid leds are fulld, 100m, link
ethernet shield connected to mega board
please help

Does the client example work?

Isn't 192.168.1.1 the router?

Are you actually running a domain name server on the router?

no,the client example is not working
yes it is my router ip
i am not using it as dns (although i removed that part from the code..still no luck)

Are you certain the IC is a w5100?

Try this test sketch. Does it show 192.168.0.2 on the serial monitor?
